The club is a platform
where stakeholders - people who are enthusiast on science, technology and
innovation are brought together and provided with forum to share their great
ideas, and to contribute to the progress of science and technology hence play
part in bringing technology and industrial revolution in our country, it is
intended to fully involve all citizens to participate and contribute to the
development of the industries in Tanzania and recognize stakeholders for their
contributions in the development of the Tanzanite City.
OBJECTIVES OF THE
FRIENDS CLUB OF THE TANZANITE CITY
1. Bringing
together people who have passion with science and technology and are ready to share
their great ideas on technology development and innovation issues and would
like to play great role to the development of the Tanzanite City
2.
Working
in partnership with the ESTA-TZ Limited and the Technology Development and Innovation
Fund to organize and execute fund raising missions and involve other citizens to
Financing Technology Development Missions, Startups Financing and Nurturing them
through to their maturity stage.
3.
Involving
all the interested people in Tanzania to participate in development of our own
home grown technology and manufacturing capabilities, and enable local citizen
to participate fully to invest in establishment and own technology based
industrial companies in the Tanzanite City
4.
Mobilizing
middle class citizens who have moderate income, big dreams and great ideas in
all walks of life and provide them with forums and platform which will assist
them to develop investment capabilities and form companies that will operate
beyond their individual fears of risk to invest in startups emerging in the
Tanzanite City
MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the club is open only to
citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania from the age of 18 years
SUBSCRIPTION
Subscription of the new members is
done by filling subscription form and submitting it to the office of the club
and successful members will be awarded with a Certificate and membership card.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
As
FRIENDS OF THE TANZANITE CITY, members will have to pay they annual fee and
actively participate on various business issues and campaigns such as startup
pitch contests and fundraising and any activity that may contribute to the
financial self-reliance of the Tanzanite City
2.
To
support the city undertakings and contribute to the continuous improvement of
the business operations in order to compete effectively in the markets and
create strong industrial base that will lead to the shift of technology gravity
of Africa into Tanzania

(some too literally) in the city for 36 months under the wings of the Friends
club of the Tanzanite City before they can stand at their own. We’ll work
together on these businesses and product strategies, growth and metrics, and
investor pitches.
5. Connections: Friends Club of the
Tanzanite City will be massive network; startups will be able to build
relationships and partnerships that wouldn’t be possible at their size without
the club. Need an intro to a customer? Early access to a new platform feature?
API access blocked? Stuck at the border? We will have connections.
6. Money: Being a member of Friend’s
Club of the Tanzanite City or a Startups company, the club will validate your business,
and our network will help you connect with investors when the time is right.
Our Demo Day will also be a great opportunity to meet and pitch people who
might give the startups $$$.
7. Access: People will be recognized
as FRIENDS OF THE TANZANITE CITY and this is the only way people can play part
and have access in any aspect of the Tanzanite City’s business in which members
will be provided with firsthand information on various matters about the CITY
and the development of the various technology missions
8. Forum: Through the club, members
will have the forum & platform which they can use to discuss and contribute
their great ideas on the business and advocate for improvement of the business
operation where necessary and regularly will be furnished with the feedback by
the chairman of the board of Executive on the issues of the various aspects of
the business and the future prospect
9. Opportunities: Member of the Friends Club
of the Tanzanite City will have opportunities to assist entrepreneurs build
their startups and learn from the best. All in one place. Through the club members
will be involved to build team of Distribution Hackers that will deliver
hands-on help for startups to scale and optimize their marketing channels, and
(most important!) get more customers. Members will be involved in Series of programs
to provide both investment and marketing education to companies.
10. Membership Categories: Diamond members are
considered as high profile donors and will be provided with invitations to
city’s events and provided front seats with guests of honors; they will be
furnished with quarterly reports from the board of executives. Their names will
be written in the book of the great names that made the difference in the
development of the Tanzanite City and awarded annually. These members will be
entitled with investment opportunities in distinction class where majority of
the city big businesses fall.
